Correction

When the paintwork is prepared, the paint is then inspected closely with a variety of light sources to identify different imperfections. The paint is then measured for its thickness using a paint depth gauge and provided the paint is thick enough, correction can begin. Finer scratches are tackled with 1 or 2 passes with a random orbital machine and deeper scratches are then concentrated on with depth measurements taken after every few passes to monitor paint decay using either a random orbital or in rare circumstances, a rotary for the extra cut.
