Detailing, what is it about?

Numerous services fall under the umbrella of 'detailing', some believe a wash and last stage protection (LSP) application is a detail and others like to see 100+ hours of work and undivided attention placed on their car. Luckily, we can cater for each car and customer individually.

Detailing is a relatively misunderstood form of car care as technology and products are evolving constantly to provide a better finish and protection. The industry for example has evolved protection from a wax, which claims to offer '6 months' protection, although the reality is far less as it evaporates, all the way to 3-7 years protection from nano-coatings which bond to the paint and offer unique levels of protection. From personal experience, many people believe it to be a waste of time and money to spend £500-7000 for bespoke work when they can instead opt for a £10 'hand car wash' or even worse for paintwork, a machine wash! To those people the end result is a clean car. That is perfectly acceptable as the process is quick and cheap.

However, the fact that you are looking at this website means you and I hold our cars and their appearance in a higher regard and would rather spend more money and time in order to have a better quality of paintwork underneath an equally impressive level of protection, not only for that incredible reflection and shine which will bring a smile to your face every time you get in and out, but also longevity. Leaving you less time to worry about scratches and more time to enjoy them!

If you simply break down the industry into two parts, the first part of detailing is the process of 'beautifying' a car, whether that is through machine polishing, correction or even wet sanding the paintwork to caring for glass, metalwork, wheels and interior.

The second part, and arguably equally as important, is the protection applied in order to 'lock' the hard work in and repel the daily grime and build up of contaminants as well as offering the greatest level of scratch and marring resistance as possible.
